any one successfully fixed a code 44? oxygen sensor indicating a lean code. i'm getting ready to go trouble shoot mine. i got it on a scanner and it idicates the o2 sensor is stay right around zero? so this probably means it's a bad sensor right? i was also looking at my iac and it said the computer was requesting one movement and it was getting one movement but the computer was requesting one movement continuously? would this be a bad iac causing my code 44? and yes i searched and found about three threads about code 44 but none of them showed a resolution

Code 44 just means that the 02 sensor is reading a lean condition.First thing I would do is check for a vacuum leak.

well guess that means i'm off to wal-mart for a bike tube and a air pump or something.

okay let me detail this out in full to see if anyone can give me some input. my poor old ty pops a code 44. also cruising under 60 it surges and the slower i go the worse it gets. i don't think it's a vacum leak cause i had a massive vacum leak when i bought the truck and it didn't do anything like this and the truck idles well at 725-750 i checked that on a scan tool. the scan tool also showed my o2 voltage as basicly zero with hardly any movement. so did i burn up my o2 sensor or break something else, i guess when i go out tonight i'm gonna unplug it to see if it fixes it. i hate to just throw money and parts at my truck.
