Code59 Startup Question

Trying to get the APU1 from moates running code 59 working with my truck. I read something about pin swaps at the ECU , but when I check the harness, some of the wires aren't there? The reason I'm asking this is I get a flash back from the check engine light verifing a valid bin but the truck won't start. I have fuel pressure, but don't seem to be spraying any fuel(dry plugs) & I don't have spark. I've started with dig's 60# bin, hoping that would at least start the truck, no go. The build includes a stokes stroker(verified internals), 58MM Throttle body, 84# injectors, 67mm turbo(i think), msd 6al & billet distributor. Also, if anyone has a bin for a similar build running code 59 that would get me close, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Did you have the drivers done for the Low-Z injectors?

A stock syty harness won't need to repin anything... that's more or less for the guys using it in other applications.

There's a 75# bin in the download area that should be close.

The stock ECM will need to be modified for Low-z (peak-n-hold) injectors. You'll also need to do a bit of rewiring, which is maybe what you were thinking of when you asked about re-pinning.

Depending on what kind of goals you have, getting a set of 60# injectors might be an easier way to go. They'll support around 600 HP.

The motoron/Siemens/Deka 60s are Hi-z, and will work just fine with your ECM. They're wonderful injectors all the way around.

I'm sure I'll catch some flak for this opinion, but using low-z injectors on a stock ECM kinda puzzles me. (unless you're running pure alcohol)

You can get hi-z injectors that run well, and will support just shy of 700 HP. If you're building a motor beyond that, you tend to be in the "big dog" category, with a bowtie motor and some fairly large cash spent. And typically, you're running an aftermarket ECU.

Not that the stock stuff can't or shouldn't be used on a really high-HP build, but it always seems that people end up going to an aftermarket ECU for various reasons.
