I have been considering trying to get something together in the Denver metro area. I've posted here before and there does seem to be some interest. I came up with a name and logo, and even had a t-shirt and mug made up with the logo. However, due to personal problems, things on my end are kind of on hold. I was thinking of trying to organize a meeting at Dave and Buster's on Colorado Blvd, but I was having difficulty getting info from them. I also thought a ad in the newspaper would be a good idea, not everyone knows about this message board. I am still willing to host a web page, but I am going to need help as things are still rather chaotic in my life. I was also hoping we could participate in the club clash nights at Bandimere, even though I would have to take time off work (theres only like 6 club clash events throughout the season)

The one on Aaron's page you are referring to, he got from me and added a couple.
There is interest locally in doing stuff, but I can't do it alone.
No one seems to have the time or energy to help.
Everyone WANTS to though.
I have held a gathering every year for the last 3 or 4 years.
Every time I get a new email addy or phone number I add it to my list.
Anyone volunteering to help with a web page, etc?
Mugs and logos are GREAT!
We also need to organized tech days, and i have talked about it with other owners lately.
Maybe trading of days to work on eachother's issues. Like this saturday may be DJ's truck day, and the following Brian's or whatever...

WTF? how come no one told me about that page before? I thought the mile high SYTY was something original I thought up!! Oh, well I guess great minds think alike! I am still willing to host a new page, that yahoo page kinda looks like it hasn't been updated in awhile. I pay for the small business package with Qwest, and I have lost intrest in my big block Buick web page. Anyway, let me know, I don't have the ability to take care of it all right now.

Hi all. New to the forum, but I hope to be the owner of a '92 White/gray Ty in a week. Going to Phoenix on March 9th to check it out/hopefully pick it up. I have a question for you CO sy/ty owners, and that is what octane do you run? Here in Fort Collins, I can't find 93...Do you run 91 with octane boost? And if you know of gas stations with 93, what brand are they? Thanks for your help. Looking forward to a Ty. :smile:

Another Colorado Syclone owner here. PhoonTY, 91 octane is as high as it gets in Colorado. Should work fine. My truck doesn't detonate. But when you get your truck you'll need a to check a couple of things, like proper fuel pressure. I upgraded to a Walbro 255lph pump. Also, that your intercooler pump is working. I put in a Jabsco pump and give it new plug, wires, and cap/rotor. Check the timing and you shouldn't have any detonation.

That's what I figured. I knew 91 was as high as it gets, just wasn't sure if any of you guys were making trips to bulk plants...like my bro does for his snowmobile race gas. And thanks for the things to check. I'll definately check it out. I've been reading non-stop since this purchase became a possible reality, and I have a whole list of things to check and do, and I'm glad for all the input and info I can get. Can you give me a ball-park cost, should I need to do all of those things? I hope I don't have to, as the Ty I'm looking at is in amazing shape, well cared for that is. Thanks again.

PhoonTY, I bought the Walbro fuel pump for $93 and the Jabsco intercooler pump for $110 from http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com. When I first bought my Syclone fuel pressure was dropping from 45 psi at idle to 33 psi at full throttle, when it should have been rising to 58 psi or so. I scanned like 12 degrees of knock retard. A new GM fuel filter along with the Walbro fixed my knock retard. It also idled very poorly. I installed new GM AC42TS plugs, a Conrad cap/rotor(get 'em from Autozone), and new GM plug wires. It idles much better now.
It sounds like you're getting a very nice Typhoon. I'm sure you'll love it. These trucks are incredibly fun to drive.

NO actually you can get all kinds of gas. I live in Aurora. Perto Stop- Quincey & Parker Rd Has 93.5 Octane @ 1.29.9 A gallon, Vickery Motor Sports Ahs 110 OR 116.. Dugans petro. has 91,101,104,108,110,116 .If your like Will you can have 104 droped off in a 55 gallon berrel At the house even.. Actuallly I detoate like a bitch when i run 91. I t never could even when it was stock... Cheatham

Kick ass, think you or someone out there could take a picture of the dealership? :grin: I only ask this because that is the dealership at which my truck was sold.
I wasn't aware of Petro Stop. But I figured PhoonTY was asking about regular filling station availability. I'm going to have to get some of that 93.5. Sadly, though, anything over 104 is leaded gas.

I guess you're right, the best high octane unlead generally available would be the Sunoco 104 or the Phillips 66 105. However, in my search on the net I found 108 unlead, and then this company!! :smile: Pro Racing Fuels

Well since most owners in Colorado already know me I would like to inform you others that us north members are up for the get together.
Personally I would set it up, but unfortunately time is not very abundant right now.
Trying to get the Typhoon out of winter hibernation so my time has been spent mostly in the garage.
Will and Cheatum what's up?
