confusion over lowing kits and options

I did use the search and did find some info, but all it did was confuse me more.

I just want to get a level stance on my 91 Syclone. There is about 2-7/8" difference between the front and rear.

First thing I did was goto the belltech website, but when I put in the particulars of the vehicle, it did not come up with any lowering kits. However it does show front springs and blocks in the pdf file.

So I started reading here and found:

Both say not for AWD. I have a hard time understanding how a lowering block could be particular to AWD or 2WD... Can anyone explain why these would not work on the Syclone?

Next, the Sumit site says it dropd 2", but the Jegs site says 1". Both use the Bell Tech part number 6100. Which one is right?

I also found these:

But it says lowers 3-4 inches. I would not mind dropping the front 1", but I'd like to know if it's going to be 4" so I can order the springs for the front at the same time. According to the Bell Tech website (application pdf) it shows 1-2" for the front springs and 2" for the rear blocks (6100). But the Belltech site does not show the left springs as for the Syclone.

The truck is bone stock and will stay that way, I'd just like it to look right. I will take it to the strip once in while, but just for fun, that's about it. Otherwise it's just a Sat night cruizer. :)

It has no springs in the front, torsion bar front end. and any 2" drop block will lower it exactly that much, 4"=4"

Okay, cool. So are the torsion bars like on the mopars where you can adjust them for height?

Dude, just go to your local auto store and get a 2" block with u-bolts, they should come with the blocks, and put them on. Its pretty easy and you should get the results that your looking for. Yes the torsion bars are adjustable.

Cool. That was my original plan, and then I started reading the forums and thought there as something special with the Sy that I needed to be concerned with.
