I went out to try out use it for the first time and when I test the com port it says "The ALDL adapter is working and unknown data was detected. This may be an unsupported pcm type"
1. My truck has been on datamaster before with no problems
2. I am using a cable with one wire to the ALDL and a cig. lighter plug in.
3. The one wire is in the bottom right plug on the ALDL
4. I tried changing the serial comunication time like described in other posts, but made no difference.
5. I am using a usb to db9 adapter.
Any ideas on what could be the problem
