Re: deer hunters?

well its that time of year again we went out last saturday bright and early and as soon as it got light boom my buddy shoots a doe pretty nice size. then i hear something comming 2 deer run right passed me cant get a shot dam. we drag it about a mile home and he is happy as hell me not so much.so later that day we go out again back in the woods i sit down on this stump im there like 2 min and i see this fox comming right at me like 20 ft away it sees me then takes off. so now im thinking im not gonna see no deer with this fox running around. about 5 min later i look up and i see this deer looking right at me i point the gun at it and now there r 2 standing there so i pick the bigger one bam and she drops in her tracks another good size doe. diddant see any Bucks but got 2 mo.re weeks to go.:1gun::1gun::1gun::1gun::1gun::1gun::1gun:

Re: deer hunters?

I bagged a 150" 10-point opening day. Shot him from the same stand I've hunted for the past 11 years. Good equipment, good stand, little bit of luck...

Re: deer hunters?

lets see some pics of the 10-point :tup:

Here you go:

Estimated 220lbs. Got him at 8:15am, so I couldn't use the woods truck to retrieve him (my brother was still in the woods and I didn't want to mess up his hunt). Luckily, when I got back to the house my daughter was awake and anxious to help dad drag a deer!

My sisters boyfriend got an 11 pointer with his Focus, only for it to be run over by an F350 before he could tag it :banghead:

10 point counting the little eye guards (23" inside to inside).

I took my father out and he shot at this thing 3 times and missed (during the rut, the deer didn't care what was going on). I took my father out the very next day to the same exact spot and he shot at it another two times and missed (he's getting old, what can I say!). ANYWAYS, I take my little brother out to THE SAME EXACT SPOT and this buck walks up to us about 120yds. My lil brother drops this thing first shot, first season hunting. It scores 170 and weighed right at 250 dressed! I told my brother it would be a few years before I let him take another buck like that (it was the last day of the season). I also have video of him taking a bite out of the heart and him hurling! I did, however, dress and drag this monster 2 miles back to the truck for him (my bro is 12 and weighs 80lbs)!
