Different Color Smokes

Ok, I am a little lost. About six months ago I noticed some white smoke on start up. Following everyones advice I replaced the valve seals (they needed it 100,000 mile engine). Then about two weeks ago the white smoke was back. I also noticed that after that the exhaust smoke turns to black and will even leave a black residue on the concrete in my drive way. The truck is stock expect for a ATR catback, 3 bar map sensor and Ult 10-1 (set on t1/17)chip and afpr and reliability mods. Fuel presure is set at 38 lbs and I replaced the oxygen sensor about 10,000 miles ago. I have heard guys talk about PCV, I have thought about the seals on the turbo. The truck does use a little oil (i.e 2 quarts per three thousand miles). Let me know what you think it could be.

Check for holes in your oil pan man!! 2 quarts in 3000 miles holy crap. I think you need a motor build. Thats alot of oil.

would check the turbo for leaking down pipe. then do a compression and leakdown test.

White Smoke is Water, Blue Smoke is oil, and Black smoke is Fuel. Most of the time. Does your truck leak oil or Burn it?

No, the truck does not leak oil. From my experience most high mileage engines use some oil. My big block trans am uses a couple of quarts between changes. I really don't think twice about it. I was wondering if by turning down the fuel pressure would help with it being rich, but I wasn't sure if the chip would try to compensate and I would be fighting a losing battle on that end. Are you suggesting that the white smoke is from the turbo?

Man, 2 quarts in 3000 miles is a s#!t load! Atleast I think so, burning oil is actually one problem that I havent had yet...knock on wood.
