could someone post a pic or send one to my email of the # order on the cap. speedracer1280@yahoo.com
also I recently bought a sy and it had a few problems. I've done a tune up. wires, ac spark plugs, fuel fiter and cap rotor. the drivers motor mount was also broke. thing is the truck launched hard but nosed off after 30 or 40 mph. some of you suggested the cat was clogged and the motor mount could be tripping the knock sensor.
well fixed both of those last night...what a pain the motor mount was. on the way home it ran hard...like never before...it was like the speedometer was in a race with the tach.
now the truck seems to have developed a small miss, Its kind've had it always...only noticable at idle. when driving cant tell and still drives ok...bad gas mileage though. the previous owner gave me a moniter 2000 pathfinder scan tool...tonight for the first time hooked it up...It shows a code 45...rich O2...the mv was bouncing all over the place..from .08 up to .89...and in between. Did not have this last week checking the codes with the paper clip method.
How much would the rich o2 affect idle...should i replace the O2? the vaccum on the upper intake checks at a steady 20 inchs.
The truck has 78k miles and is basically stock...atr pump and intercooler, adjustable fuel reg. , a chip ( unknown type ) just told by the owner and still have the OEM chip. also there has been since purchase a loud ticking from the passenger side...I assumed it was a sticking lifter. as the guy didn't drive the truck much..with an oil change and running B-12 through it to clean out some sludge...it never went away...I now think it may be a bad injector???
sorry for the long thread . but for a good answer thought you'd need details....thanks
