I would have to take mine off to double check but I believe it uses existing holes, the ones that hold the cup holder in place just use longer screws. then the other two on the bracket are used to hold the two metal brackets together.

Yeah I see how the close together hole look like they go through the cup holder, but the two father apart ones don't seem to go anywhere.

Unless they go right through the center console into something?

I sold a few of those from that pic above . They fit snug in the cup area and stay in place with some double sided tape . I liked how the KB 4 gauge holder looked and fit but did not know how the wires went through the cup holder plate . I eventually settled on just 2 in that spot . There is another item i have that places 2 gauges in the drivers vent but those needing the A/C won't like losing the spot .

I really liked how the 2 pod turned out that I believe Wyoming member made but I don't have the pic saved . Since finding out about it I haven't seen more than a couple of those KB 4 gauge holders over the last 6-8 years , did they actually sell a lot of those ?

My guess is that you're supposed to screw it into the plastic cup holder mount.

From this thread. You could also buy this and not worry about jacking up a perfectly good cup holder.

Looks pretty good. I don't mind my gauge pillar pod, but I could always use more gauges.
