Ok so i bought the truck in febuary the front fenders were pretty rusted i plan on replacing both of the front fenders when i get the truck painted and anyhow the front wheel flare tabs are broke off any chance i can use some type of bracket and fasten on the lower lip of the flare with some tytpr of jb plastic weld and then use on of the bigger bolts on the uinnder fender to attach as its come lose all the area where you would screw directly into from the flare to fender is pretty much rotted out i just dont have the money currently too replace and paint fender any ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks. just need something temporary to hold me over for a few months Thanks. its still on just its pulled away from the vehichle uptop.

ps also? Will a 93 Gmc Jimmys fender fit the truck? for when i do replace them?

And Gen 1 s-10, jimmy fender will work. The fenders aren't anything special you will just need to drill into the lip for cladding tabs. I just used some 5 min epoxy to glue my tabs back on and they have stayed solid for years now.

any ideas on how i can get it to stay on before i replace the fender as the area the tabs would go into are rusted out and not allowing me to connect them there right now? i was thinking some quick weld and some brackets and them running a screw up through the upper area in the wheel well that is metal maybe?

Could just rivet in some angle brackets and attach them to the inside of the fender or the inner fender well. I would probably make something that bolts to the inner fender bolts and the cladding tabs screw into that. Who cares if you hack up a rusted fender but try not to hack up the cladding.

I just used some sheet metal (aluminum strips) and bent to fit. I'm going to be replacing the arch so wasn't to worried about the holes but there are just a few on the bottom side.
