Driverside axelshaft removal

anyone have any link to how to remove it, i searched but did not find anything, i allready looked at my truck and i belive that it shuld be easy but i wanna make shure imma do it correctly. any help is appreaciated

Where are you located?

if your talking about the front axle. you will have to drop the spidale out of the truck and unbolt just the bottom of the shock. should give you the room to do the rest.

yup just take the ball joints and bottom of the shock loose.
shouldnt have to touch the tie rod
also make sure to take the retaining bolts on the abs harness and brake hose loose so you don't damage them. dont have to unplug or unhook them.

Hey Guys,

I have a leak in my Drivers Frt Axle. So, it looks like I gotta remove both BJ's, huh ? Might as well replace them w Moog while I'm at it. Any other "wear" parts that I should replace while I'm in there ? Got > 100K on the car, so might as well. Anything on the CV joint - it has the original boot ?

you dont have to take the ball joints out, just take the nut off and take the spindle loose. however, you basically have full access to the ball joints when you're doing the axle repair so might as well replace them if they're worn. also take a look at the control arm bushings while you're in there and see if the rubber is still there, or if they're metal on metal.
