Dyno numbers

I finally got to dyno my truck today. Peak HP was 533.22 at the wheels and peak TQ was at 536.08. The low torque is due to the large exhaust housing that I'm changing out for a smaller one. I'm not sure where you guys are setting your rev-limit but I ran it out to 7500 RPM each pull, started nosing over a little at 6800. Air/fuel was below 11.5:1 until 4800 then sat about 12.6:1 till 7500. That was on 22 Lbs of boost, think I'm going to run ~28 if it'll hold. If anybody wants to see the .DJR file of the run let me now. Later, Hunter

So I'm guessing that bin worked not bad.
Send me all the info and airfuel ratios I can tweak the fuel some more
for ya.

As far as rpm that is a tad high for my liking. With a stock crank and all I would
only go to 6000 rpm personaly.

Also what rpms did yo make peak HP and Torque?

Peak power was about 6500 RPM, it was down to 520 at 7000. Peak torque was about 4600 RPM. Nolan, after I change the exhaust housing, fuel system (that was on 1 walbro pump), and crank the boost I'll dyno it again w/ datamaster and email it to you. I'd really like to see 600 at the wheels. I'm gonna check the bearings tomorrow, oil pressure was getting lower....think maybe it's taking out a main.

Ya dude change that exhaust housing!!! Tony was making over 650 Lbs of torque at 3200 and that was with 22% slip at the wheels on the dyno.

It will also lower your peak hp rpm so you can use all the HP and not hurt the motor spining the crap out of it.

And to think that bin is not the C16 hot chip. Yikes

What A/R exhaust housing is Tony running? My turbo is a P trim w/ A/R .96 exhaust and it's obviously too big. I'm thinking of going back to the .81 or even the .68. What do you think?

Funny I was just talking about this the other day.. I have a T66 with a 0.82 on it now.. when I got it it had a 0.96 on it. I have been driving around just on a stock converter and tranny and it with the stock tranny it makes boost almost instantly... I was thinking of going to the 0.96.

After reading this.. I think I will stick with what I have until I can get some dyno numbers.

Mine is a "P" also.... interested stuff... and good numbers... I am hoping for about the same... I would like to see about 550 on pump gas at about 20 psi.

Here's the combo:
Built bottom end w/ speedpro pistons
Custom Crower cam
L35 heads w/ larger valves and port work
KB headers
Stock upper and lower intake manifold
Stock TB
Custom air-air IC
PT-72 turbo
Stock computer
75LB Delphi injectors
3" DP

Tomorrow I should have an A/R .68 exhaust housing for the turbo, should really help spool-up :)

Hmmm to bad you did not get a .82 it would have been a better balance of spool and power.

I was going to go with the .82 but after looking over the dyno graphs of the GN this turbo used to be on the .68 looked really good. The reason I changed the housing in the first place is becuase it was an on-center housing with the 4 bolt discharge and I wanted tang style w/ V-band. The GN was almost the same displacement with a similar cam and head flow numbers. It was built by Duttwiller and made just over 750 HP on an engine dyno.... We'll see if it works for me or not :)
