So I got around to dong the safety and emissions. Passed safety, failed emissions. I failed on the idle test, it's the HC count, I'm more than double. See attached pic for sheet reading.
Now in my searching, some say the HC is from being too rich, while I read a post by "bronze" that say it could also be from too lean at idle.
I have an accufab AFPR, had no idea it was there since I just bought the truck, well there was no way to tell what PSI I was at. So I got a rail mounted gauge, it's showing 35psi while idle vacuum ON.
Another symptom I noticed is that my idle is currently at 700rpm, but sometimes just wants to die, and sometimes does, going from D to reverse it stumbles hard.
I'm also not getting full boost under WOT. It varies, at 8 the goes to 10-11, as seen on my autometer boost gauge. But this might be a different issue.
The injectors I found to be not stock but green collar D1720AA which I believe to be BuickGN injectors. Unsure of there flow rating. Truck is for the most part stock (intake, turbo, headers, chip, ect)
Unsure of the spark plugs, and timing, I was told they are stock and timing is stock.
So us my fuel pressure the culprit?
