Although i don't want to name any names, I happen to live in a town with an NFL team. GO STEELERS! Anyway, there are several of them that live in my suburb, and they all seem to have expensive, and sometimes tasteless, vehicles. I guess they think that if it's expensive it MUST be cool.
So I'm out doing a little datamaster tuning the other day while my kid was home from college on break and we see this big black Cadillac Escalade with blacked out windows and the biggest and ugliest chrome wheels you can imagine. He's weaving in and out like he thinks he owns the road and I hapened to come up to him at a light. (boy, where do these guys learn to do this smirk?) so, he gives me this "what kind of little piece of shit truck is that) and proceeds to tromp on it from the light. I just let it go. So we get to the next light and he looks over at us with that "get out of my way look" and when the light turns green off he goes again. this time I just floor it with no launch and EAT him for lunch. guess who's smiling now. And would you believe, (Oh thank you God), who pulls up to us at the next light with nobody in front of either one of us. I got this little toy on the Sy called an electric exhaust valve that I got from my buddy Jim Longwith that opens the dump tube from inside while you're driving that makes my 12.06 Sy with the big turbo and headers sound like an awsome jet when the boost comes up. He had lost his eat my shit look by now and couldn't seem to believe a little truck like this could destroy him so badly. Never the one to be shy, I thought I would show him what a little launch would do to him. Say about 7#'swith my 9/11 converter. It was just enough to get it going a little sideways out of the hole and he might as well have been driving a Hugo. Did he think the 11" wheels on the back were all show???
So how does mr. moneybags NFL player respond? By coming around me after I had slowed down for the heavy traffic area and driving through our little suburb, which is so crowded with traffic that you can't believe, at about 75 swerving in and out between all the mothers and their SUV's and minivans hauling their kids around. Unfortunately I never got next to him again. I wanted to scream out the window something like "way to go mr. 1 and 3 Steeler. Maybe he'll get his other buddy to come out and play with his $300 large Astin Martin. We won't be doing any top end stuff, but in a good old american drag race I'd enjoy whipping his ass too with my little piece of shit truck!!! GO STEELERS
