Fabricated a throttle body adapter today !

this is only a mock up... my welding sucks.. to see if the shapes etc work
I will repeat the process in stainless and have it properly welded

and yes I still have an hour or so with the die grinder to finish it

if you weren't so wild with the grinder and used sandpaper from 80-220 it would have slicked up pretty good but it still looks like an idea but will it flow enough? every thought about just using oval pipe and then get a round to oval adapter to do the same thing?

lol I had to grind alot because my welding was so lumpy
all the formulas I've used or charts* ive seen show that using 2.5" tube on the intake system will support over 400 hp

2.00" - 255 hp
2.25" - 345 hp
2.50" - 450 hp
2.75" - 565 hp
3.00" - 690 hp
3.50" - 970 hp

these are based on maintaining the optimum flow rate. Of course bends and tube
size changes in a system will slow things down

I want to avoid too many off the shelf adapters in this setup I'm hopeing to have a "one off" look and dont mind the challenge of designing the parts and making or haveing them made

i'd put a bead around the lip of that to help prevent it from blowing off the tb

I think they look good. Have you thought about making an adaptor on the back side to adapt a syty/corvette throttle body to the Edelbrock 2114 manifold for use with Vortec Heads?
