Fabricated IC scoop.

Re: Fabricated IC scoop.

Hey guys. My dad should be back this next week and Im going to get him started.
Also a testimonial for the scoop. I had my first scrape with it the other day. I was pulling into a gas station a little faster than I should have. I hear "Shhhhrrrrrrr" from the front of the truck. I was a little scared at first but the scoop remained unflawed. Thats why I think only mounting the scoop with the existing bolts on the stock intercooler is best. That way you have a bit of give in the scoop if you hit something solid.

Re: Fabricated IC scoop.

Sounds like the partner in crime will have around 12 scoops made up by the weekend. Im going back home so I can pick them up then. He said to make it worth his time and supplies he needs $50 for each one.

Until you clip a parking block with it and it rips the whole bottom lip off the intercooler.
This is the same style setup as the blade of death.
Which eventually came to be known as "blade of death to the CCHE".

Small scrapes should be fine just be careful how "deep" you pull into a parking spot if they have the stops.

Are you going to start at the begining and figure out the first 12 people who said they wanted one and go from there? I am still interested either way I am not sure what number I am but I would still like one.

Well thats a good question. I have been giving it some thought. Instead of going around down the list and asking each person if they still want one would be the hard and time consuming way to do it. I might just put them out on E-bay for $50 and say here you go. I will start out with 12 scoops but I will make more. No reason to get disapointed if you didnt get one the first time around. There should be more comming.

Sound Fair?

Would it be a buy it now on Ebay for $50? OR would it be an auction? I would do it like a list just go back through and see who said they wanted them and go that way, but its your call.

Re: Fabricated IC scoop.

Yeah thats what I mean. Its going to be a differnent story now that the price has changed. Instead of going down the list and asking YES or NO. Waiting for a responce...... Just put them up on ebay and just go from there.

Re: Fabricated IC scoop.

Its getting kinda rediculous. He still does not have them done. He says he has been to busy with reviews.
He does have the material and he does have a program made for one of the punch out machines.

its all gravy.

Re: Fabricated IC scoop.

Yeah I am. My step dad ordered the material and he said it had a shipping time of 4 to 6 weeks. I told him its been that long already. I dont think the material is really on order myself. My step dad said the material is on order and I plan on selling them if he ever get his head out of his #$%

Re: Fabricated IC scoop.

is this going to require the stock rubber flap or is it going to be all-inclusive piece that replaces it? (personally id like to see the rubber flap replaced)
