False Knock

Can anyone tell me how to figure out if I have false knock? With a scan tool hooked up I get about 3 to 4 degrees at 2000 truck in park, and when I rev it it goes up to 10. I found out that knock retard won't start till around 1800 so I can't read it at idle. Turned fuel pressure up to 60 no difference. Backed off timing 2 degrees a little different but hard to tell because it jumps around. I don't want to tune the truck till I figure out if this is false knock and have to pull the motor out to fix it.
A local dyno tune guy said it has to be false knock because there is no load on the motor. I don't know if I believe that. He also said disable the knock sensor and tune so there isn't any knock and that didn't sound good to me. Many mods to truck rods, pistons, cam, ect.and its a fresh motor.
Thanks Paul

Re: False Knock

sounds like the chip isn't seated properly in the ECM.
turn your FP down to around 45.
