Filling up the IC...

How do you actually fill the bottom ic??? I just re-did the hoses with the upgraded lower ic...tried to fill the top ic but the water won't go directly down to lower (even with petcock open). Took ty for a drive and water just evaporated or something... need help? :squint:

You need to run the pump constantly as you fill, it takes time to get it filled up and get all the air out.

When you say run pump...do you just leave the car running??? Or how do you make the pump active?

You can run the pump without the truck running. Turn the key to the ON postion, but don't crank the engine over.

Use a paper clip to connect the proper ports on the ALDL connector below the dash on the driver side.

Fill the return hose until the bottom is full....then place the return hose back on the upper IC box. Keep doing this and checking on it every few days until you eventually get a full upper IC box.

Ive hooked up a vac pump to the filler neck, using 1-1/4 OD clear vinyl, tape to seal, and misc fittings...gets the air out in a hurry.
