That's a good explaination of how ram air works. I thnk it proves, ram air only really helps when your going for that last bit of top speed. When Honda introduced the CBR1100 XX in 1997, it was the fastest production motorcycle in the world at something like 170+ mph. Someone asked why it didn't have ram air and the simple reply from Honda was "it doesn't need it".

So whats yer problem ?? Just tune your truck to run 225mph and it will all work out !

I think the reasons they put the Ram Air setup is for appearance. Also, I'm sure there are some benefits obtained from sucking in COOL OUTSIDE air vs ambient under the hood temps.
