going to spray that and the upright brace at the same time, probably tomorrow or friday. As to lining up the body, we tried moving the front over today (many ways for about 4 hours) but no dice, tomorrow going to see how much closer I can get it shifting the back of the truck. I expect I'm going to end up having to modify the body mounts slightly so that they can move further to the side than they are right now

Also, used steel wool to clean the crud off the windows today, installed the tailights for real, headlights and roof rails, as well as finishing the assembly of the grille. (Then had to go pick up my header and some other stuff).

Has anyone changed their washer / blinker / cruise lever? According to the manual it should pull straight out but mine wont budge :dunno:

I think, :crossfingers: the truck will run and drive before this week is out

Nice work, man. If you have a hard time getting the perfect screw for the roof rack holes, I once used (on my old V8 S-Blazer) the bodywork screws from a Kawasaki ZG1000 Concours. They have the right thread, really wide head, and black finish. Not cheap (but I had plenty laying around at the time).

i hope you didn't scratch the windows up. Use a razor blade next time
0000 steel wool ... what the folks that did the paint recommended ... no scratches that weren't there already (ie rear window).

Still working on the roof rack, think I have a solution but haven't tried it yet.

Re: Fresh Paint

For the roofrack on my blazer I cut the bolts off flush(with a hacksaw and scratched the hell out of the paint on the roof) and covered that with silicone just to make sure. :rotf: I was 16 though, now I realize that wasnt the best approach.
