Front Diff Rebuild.

i have built many gm 10 bolt rearends on the past. but never once a front diff.
i have all the parts to reassemble my front diff but am leary of doing this myself. i am concerned on how to set the backlash/ gear mesh of the gears and to ensure i have enough preload on the front carrier as once you put the two case halves together you can't see what is going on.

is there a how-to anywhere that can guide me thru this or anybody that has done it. please give me some insight.

Tydriver(Todd) has a good write up on doing his front with a locker.

thats ok, I had to remove both of mine because a sheered them clean off in KC :lol: I think im gonna make some thicker replacements this time.

I have built several of these differentials. You need a finger type dial indicator that will fit through the hole in the side of the case. This is one of the most difficult differentials to assemble.
