Ready to order my front suspension components.

Got pricing from Rock Auto and Auto Parts Express.

$342.18 can't find many places with Moog that have the lower ball joints online. So I had to order from two places to get the complete set up.

$252.09 for idler, pitman, inner/outer tie rods, sleeves, upper ball joints @ APE
$90.09 for lower ball joints including $10 shipping @ Rock Auto

Found Energy Suspension bushings kit for control arms $51.47 shipped

Also, anyone used the leaf spring kit from ES?

NAPA is pretty big. Maybe stop in there and see if they will price match. Beats ordering from a couple different places and $10.00 for shipping should cover the tax.

What isn't from China??? I mean, what might be a good alternative? The Napa brand is much more expensive, China as well?

ive had good luck with duralast pieces from autozone and the warranty is excellent, especially when you have multiples of the same vehicle

Re: Front end

We use the Raybestos (AC Delco) ball joints on all our stuff. Best we have found yet, and the high end AC delco ones are the same, but few bucks cheaper. They are made by the same company.

We use the ES on all the front control arm kits and use their leaf bushing kits on the restorations. Just lube them well to minimize the squeaking.

Re: Front end

I used Raybestos on all the suspension on my truck. Except the pitman arm. Prices were cheaper from my local Car Quest than they were from Rock Auto. The Raybestos pitman arm though, was 1/2" shorter than what it needed to be, and the grease zerk was pointing straight down and was almost touching the frame. No way to grease it up. Ended up going with the cheap CarQuest pitman.
