Full throttle problem

I just noticed this last night. Whenever I seem to hit it full throttle, it sorta chugs along. It seems like it kicks but backs itself off for some reason. Anyone ever had a problem like this? And what could it be. I think my catalytic converter is going out because I have the rotton egg smell every once in a while. Could it be because of that? Any advice would be great.

It seems sort of like a roller coaster. It runs good for like a second, then backs off for a second, then runs for a second and so on. I just noticed it the other night, but it never happened before that. What might cause it to start overboosting all of a sudden?

cold weather.

but, in reguards to the overboosting, the truck should not die, go, die, go, die, unless you keep your foot planted on the floor the whole time even when the truck cuts out. I think everyone pretty much has enough common sense to take their foot off the gas when the truck cuts out.

I guess one thing you could do is remove the cat and see if it does the same thing.

Also, when was the last time you did a tuneup? I know when I first got my truck, at WOT it would have a "surge" of power, then loss of power, ect ect. I replaced plugs, wires, cap, rotor and even the coil just for the heck of it, problem solved.

One last thing it "might" be is the fuel filter. I could be starving for fuel at WOT if its clogged I suppose. (someone else might be able to give you a solid yes or no on this)

how much are a set of vacuum lines and where can i get them. Also, are they fairly easy to replace. I have a chilton's so i have diagrams probably, but is there any tough parts to replacing them?

race or get outta the way
if you can hook up a garden hose you can do this.

pull off one stinkin hose at a time.

cut a new one to same length

install it

put wire tie on both ends.

repeat one at a time till you are done.

Why buy a stinkin kit?

and there aint no part number

just pull one off at the parts store and tell em to give ya a couple feet of it as you hand one piece to em.

ed

put that one in the vault. :D
