Hello everyone. I just thought I would get on here and say hi. I have been lurking around for a while, but I have decided to go ahead and get a Ty so I wanted to become an official member.

I have been on LS1 tech for about 4 yrs now and at one time I was #3 on the fastest truck list over there. I currently have a 2002 Silverado that runs 7.5 in the 1/8th and about 11.5 in the 1/4. I have NOS on it and it has been a traction limited 7.08 at 105mph on the spray in the 1/8th....more than enough power to go 6's 1/8th mile 10's 1/4.

I am tired of fighting traction and weight (the thing weighs 4850lbs) So I have decided to put my motor and tranny (a 4l80e) in a Typhoon and put a turbo on it (current combo is supercharged) I figure it should put down 650 or so horsepower at the wheels on pump gas, and maybe 900 on high boost/race fuel.

Ok, sorry for rambling on, I am just excited about this project !

Sounds like you're gonna build a monster. There's a Ty on e-gay right now for cheap and spinall4 is parting out his wrtecked Ty on here. You may want to look into them instead of dropping $12K on something you're about to tear apart anyways.:2cents:

Thanks for the welcome. I am from the Southeast part of Missouri. I looked at just building an AWD S10 truck or Blazer but I like the Typhoon and I have learned through experience that it is just easier to buy something than it is to build it from the ground up. I thought about making my existing truck into an AWD but that isn't really feasible.

Here is a video that has a couple runs in my truck. This was the first test n tune of this season and the track wasn't prepped plus I was on the regular Firestones, but as you can see in one of the passes it still ran 94 mph in the 1/8th. I really think that my combo in a lighter vehicle is going to be fun.
