Re-use your in tank pumps - a 3/4" copper pipe cap is a nice fit over the suction end. Solder an inlet pipe fitting to the cap (drilled) and JBWeld it to the pump - add an additional lengthwise hose clamp if you want. There's no pressure on the inlet other than a foot or so of fuel head pressure. Adapt the outlet fitting as needed, but this is high pressure, so its got to be good.

boy, i knew i was gonna hear about this one.
in no order - yes, weld the baffles in thru the 3" hole - it can be done. pia, tho, i freely admit.
stalling under braking - the fuel psi drop u saw says it - stay on the brakes going down a hill and it will eventually run out of fuel.
for dc people - down wisconsin ave to the end @ the waterfront is a good example.
seen it many times on customer cars - it's very rare to actually occur, tho - and, i keep forgetting how shitty oem brakes are - i have big baer's.
but, it is possible.
a simple trapdoor wil take care of the stalling issue, if u feel you might be braking that hard.

Hey Guys,
I will be pulling my tank to install new Walbro from Gregory and Hot Wire from Caspers. So, if I can do something to it, now is the time.
From what I read in the Shop manuals - gotta whip it out once in a while -our tank appears to be the only one w a baffle in it. The '93 Sonoma/Jimmy manual doesn't mention a baffle.
Does everyone agree w that ?

I just found out that the gas tank problem is not on the '93 Ty, and maybe not on the '92 either. They appear to have a tank similar to the GN's - flat w a baffle. Appears to be a Syclone problem.

I just posted this yesterday, and for some reason today it doesn't show up. So, I'll post again :
It appears that the Sy gas tank and my '93 Ty one R different (all Ty's ?)
My tank is broad and flat w a baffle like the GN tank, so I guess there is no problem like the one mentioned.
So, is the long narrow gas tank w/o a baffle only on the Syclone ?

The ty tank has a tub like baffel and yes I have to run more than a half of tank or I suck some air at launch. I am currently doing some modifaction on the tank and should be able to run 4 to 5 gallons while racing. Should have the tank back in 2-3 weeks. I am also staying with the in-tank system.
