gasoline additive

i drive my ty appprox 50 miles per month and as a result do not have to fill the gastank but once every 4 or five months. should i use a gas additive/fuelstabilizer to keep the gas "fresh"? any advice, what is a good
brand, etc will be greatly appreciated. john.

The best fuel preservative is StaBil.
What it does to octane I don't know. I have only used it in boats,lawnmowers etc.
