I was able to install my indiglos without pulling any needles whatsoever
Creatively with 2 people move the needles and bend the indiglo faces very gently, there is enough room in there to get them on no problem.
I have no posts on the left cluster at all, and only stop posts for the speedo and tach where speedhut provided holes.
Mine work perfect, no calibration problems since I didnt lift the needles.
i am not sure what drilling holes in the indiglo material would do, but I would assume it cannot be good for the conductor material on the back side of the indiglo. If you short the conductor the whole panel will not light. although plastic posts shouldn't short it I wasn't taking ANY chances on these awesome gauge faces.
Now my dakota was a different story. had to lift needles, nothing is accurate now and I can barely see my idiot lights (Check engine, overdrive off, left right turn signals, high beams) through the gauges now.
Its gonna take me peeling the whole dash apart again to reset them, and i want to do an aluminum gauge bezel at the same time to break up the whiteness.
