gaz front coilovers - any experiences?

i'd like to change the front suspension of my sy to a "budget" coilover setup,
cannot spend the money for a kit with tubular a-arms.

did an extensive search here on the forum and think the most common shocks are the qa1 4855, but not everybody is very happy with it.

so did anybody give "gaz shocks" a try? http://www.gaz-shocks.co.uk/product.html

they're in the same price range as the qa1, but each one is dyo tested to meet the given specs, fully rebuildable and i have a local distributor willing to help with tuning the setup (and eventually rebuilding).

any suggestions to give 'em a try?

for reputation: the top gear team was "on gaz" @ britcar 24h endurance race

No, but I'm running Ohlins. I don't recommend any aftermarket tubular a-arm kit for our trucks, without converting to delron bushings and building a custom shock hoop for the upper shock mount.

FYI The car was Part of Top Gear's 24hr race, hence why it has penis on the side.

highperformancetrucks i know öhlins from street bikes, was formerly high-end suspension on gsx-rs, and i found pics of your setup on your website. niiiice  but far to expensive for me.

forgot to mention i will not go street racing or drag racing, just have a little more fun on the road.

and the top gear beamer featured a sponsor logo on the other side, too: larsen's biscuits

I don't have any experience with them, however you will need to make sure the coil springs are no wider than 2 1/4" or you will have clearance issues.
