Getting ready for paint! But not sure what color, need opinions

OK, so I am getting ready for paint, but I figure if I have gone this far (Removing the fenders, interior, doors today), I am wondering if I should just remove the motor to gain access to the engine compartment, and paint the entire truck. Reason is as I look at the engine compartment, and all of its grease, and needing some TLC (although it runs great. I figure that way it will look good in the engine compartment as well as outside. Yes, it will take more time, but I figure it will be done correct.
Now, as for color, I could do the existing (and correct) red OR I can do what I really like (which is Aspen), or another stock color that is hard to find (bahama, silver (on the tech sheet, but one or none exist), or ?)
What do you think of the ideas?
I like the red, but I alos like the other colors. THis is a very difficult decision. Any help would be great:tup:

I say paint it whatever color you want. Unless it's 100% stock and you plan on keeping it as a collector car with low mileage and all original. The garnet/ gray or aspen/ gray looks very nice.

Dont bother with pulling the motor if you pull the heater box, and the master and booster you can get alot of the firewall

I'm a big fan of the red/gray and of repainting vehicles the color they came from the factory. That being said, I LOVE the blue/gray and would trade my red/gray in a heartbeat for one. If you decide to change the color, pull the motor and do it right. You could *probably* get by with it as is, if you keep your red. I can't stand seeing nice older cars and truck with a "mismatched" firewall or inner fenders....:2cents:

I totally feel the same way. I love the wheels I have (90 ZR1) and I think they go great with the color/gray color. I was looking at the motor today, and I can not stand all of the wires and tubes the previous owner put it. It looks like the back to the future mobile motor!
I figure to do it right (and be able to show it and lift the hood to make others envey), I would need to lift the motor out. In order to lift it out, I will have access to the firewall.
I am leaning towards aspen or the mysterious "silver" that was offered, but not known to exist.

Dunno...I'm a fan of keeping things the same color as the factory. But then I also prefer real boobies over plastic.

One of the phantom colors would be sweet I think!! Silver would be my choice.
