So, A friend of mine was looking for something to draw, so I mentioned he should try making a GMC Safari look like a syty. This is what he drew/colored. :tup: :tup:

(I designed the Monsoon logo)

This thing looks absolutely wicked. Something GM should have looked at when doing the turbotrucks in the 90s.

No love for the safari/ astro here. You have to be an amputee to sit in the front passengers seat. The wheel well is way too intrusive. I am actually glad they didnt do something like this, it would have cheapened the image in my opinion. Kinda like a SVT Pinto or something.

I like it! It needs to be dropped a few inches with a later model front end- but looks good.

Your friend does great work!

When I see a passenger van, a few thoughts come to mind. Either a) Soccer Mom, b) Stalker, c) Pseudo Living Quarters or, d) Blue-hairs traveling down South to the winter home.

A performance van? That's just not an attractive thought. Those are my 2-cents.

I think its awesome.. Perfect vehicle to pimp the family around in. Load up the back with some comfy seats, couple of LCDs and you would be good to go..

That looks good, not a huge fan of the van, but the art is awesome. He should do some artwork of a SY or a TY and sell some t-shirts.

The artwork is awsome........ The concept is truely sleeper oriented..... kinda like a station wagon or a Pick-up or even an SUV.......DAH. Me likey.

I'll give props where it is due, great artwork rather your friend drew it or this was a serious thought of GM it would never materialize unless someone really wanted to custom make one which would IMO be really cool to see one at syty nats. That would turn heads to say the least (at least in our crowd with mixed opinions of course.)

Van is kind of gay but the logo is nice!! I do appreciate the fine artwork BTW, not the concept though!

I can't believe it, My friend and I have talked years ago about doing the same thing with the same name on an AWD Safari, and here it is!!! what are the odds!?!?

Great photo, the artist did a really good job, and job well done to you for also thinking it up too. :)

I keep thinkong if I woned a safari that would be the one but then I keep thinking of how easy it is to work on my Syclone and would have to pass on a turboed AWD van

Thats for sure.

The subject leaves a little to be desired but I like the imagination and creativity.

I wouldn't own a van but I'd like to see him do more drawings of SyTys.

Be cool if he took a picture of a members truck and then redrew it.
I'd down for one if it were reasonable.

damnit!!! the old lady is gonna be PISSED, when i come home with a awd astro van, and start putting sy/ty wheels on it!!!:rotf: :rotf:
