AAAARRGGGHHH!!! I wish I had read this thread first. I spent most of my morning trying to remove my dash, because I was told that the resistor was behind the glove box. Now I have spent the rest of my time putting my dash back together. I took my resistor off and it does not apear to be burnt so I will test it first. Thank you all for your help. next time I will check here first.

:rotf: Believe me I tried. The worst part is that after all that I finally replaced the resistor (with the right part) and the fan still only works on high.:rant:

You should have voltage (it will vary depending on which speed you're on) on the Dk Blu wire leaving the resistor and heading into the relay. Easy enough to test.
If you have voltage (on low for example) then you need a relay, since even the reduced voltage passes through the relay on the Normally Closed terminals. If you don't have any voltage on the Dk Blu wire at the resistor then you have a bad switch, or a bad connection between the switch and the resistor.
