i have been away from the site for a long time. i am finishing up my build on my 1993 typhoon and i need some advise on getting it tuned. my typhoon has had many upgrades(turbo, meth inj, heads, exhaust, fuel system, fuel inj, and a programed chip from rpm). the truck is running fat. i am an auto body guy, and in no way experienced in tuning. i am learning though. wbest place posiblehat is the best way to start tuning either reprogram the stock ecu, or aftermarket. i am leaning towards the aftermarket!! what system is the best and easy to work with(plug and play so i don't have to cut up my stock harness). and i live in maryland. who is the best guy out there to tune my truck. i will travel to get this done at the best place possible!!!!! i want to bring both of my truck out to the syty nats! thanks alot howard

Re: HELP!!!!! tuning needed

What turbo?
Injectors?
Fuel system?
exhuast?
Chip?
3 bar map?

Need A list of everything done to it. F.A.S.T. system is the way to go to program. Stock ECM is ok for A few bolt on things but if you want to pass on pulling the chip FAST or Ostrage will work good for ya. I have FAST & love it!!

Re: HELP!!!!! tuning needed

turbo: rpm 60-1 turbo kit
injectors: 50#
chip: custom chip from rpm
3 bar map sensor
3" exhaust
walbaro fuel pump
spearco water/meth kit
i might need a trans when it gets running too, stock trans = melt down!
did you tune it yourself with the fast program, or did you have some one do the tuning. i spoke with robin at fast today and said they had a 300 cubic inch turbo tune programed in the xfi units to start with a base line. and i could go from there.... i really want to get this truck back together for the nationals. thanks!!!

Re: HELP!!!!! tuning needed

heading near louisville I can do it....

personally i think code59 (do it yourself or pay someone) but I am a bit bias.

Doesn't matter if you go FAST, BS3, SUCKANDBLOW4, no matter what system you get it will need to be tuned. Once you figure out how to tune ALL systems tune close to the same.

Got a wideband installed?
