So a friend of mine has a Z06 with the smoked black rims, i like them alot, the problem is that I hear on this site that we can't run the 17's and 18's both. My other friend at the friendly big'o tire place said that we could offset the allwheel drive with a set of 40's and 45 series. what do ya'll think? thanks

yes, you can run 2 diffrent size rims.
yes, you need to offset the tire sizes to match diameter for each wheel so its the same all around

Gary Shanock runs a 17/18 combo on his Ty.

Yup, I agree. Keep overall dia close (within 10%:2cents: ) and you'll be fine. Don't deviate very far from stock dia or you're spedo will be wrong.
