....just wondering outloud:
-Is there any other car events/cruises (piggyback on) participating that weekend (such as the
Dearborn Car Show, or Lane Automotive Club Gathering, or something at the Gilmore
Car Museum, or something GM might be able to show up with/for at event)? In other words
a really good reason for selecting Labor Day because of greater interest.
-Is the drag strip available (or other resources that holiday week end)? Resources for
families? Will eating establishments be more busy (or have less resources)?
-Would the same place (previously selected) be used for the show and shine event?
Is it necessary to have the business owner available (to use bathroom/inside resources)?
If it rains its nice to escape the weather. Security was also tight. Plus the band, and
the bbq went well last time.
-Is hotel rates higher during holiday weekends? In other words is the rates for
items (track, eating, airlines, hotel, etc) greater at this time or perhaps booked?
Not trying to bring up any negative issues, just curious if any of the above items helps in selecting a date?

theres always something going on car related in michigan, as fas as the track lets not go there Milan is terrible to deal with they want you to "reserve" a date a year in advance but they wont call you till 2 weeks before :rant:
as far as location probably same place as tony has always been cool with us, perhaps we could do something down at the part where we have the dustoff meets Nice grills and right on the lake,

Won't work for me. I would like to have my truck done by then, but I've been saying that for 4 years now. Don't think Duncan would be able to make it. US Nationals is that weekend, and we both race at it.

Do you mean 9-6-2010? not 8-6 2010!! If its september.. I am out.. I vote for June, oh wait, that is not a option:rotf: And if a track is not in the plans, then what is the cooler weather required for?

Called Milan & cant make no res. until like March at the soonest. Like Ken said it is the car capitol & cars events everywere no matter what weekend. when I posted this & the other post, I was just trying to get A fell for when school starts for everyones kids. Just trying to plan it around the heat & weather in general. so it Will be ( more then likley at the same location as last year, not sure on the date ) It seemed to go good with that location last year. As for all the other things that questions poped up about we have A winter to sit on it still & go over things. so if there is anything that you did not like about home coming last year chim in & we will do our best to fix it so everyone has A better time then last year. I know Rockford race craft will, being my truck is running right now & not spending all there time changing plugs & tunning on it.
