yeah i know it was a honda, but i have a wore out so-gt. :(

anyways i went to get me and the wife some late nite grub and on the way back i catch a light. this guy rolls up beside me in a newer blue prelude. i dont know what kinda of mods or anything he had, but he had a fartcan on it so im guessing an intake and a few other bolt ons. we both roll out of the light kinda slow, i guess each waiting to see what the other was gonna do. well he gives in first and punches it. i hear the fartcan winding up so i laid into it with it in od and honestly expecting to get smoked, but i jump him about a half car and started to pull off from him. we only went about two light poles, b/c there was a cop that had turned out in front of us at the light and he was only a couple of hundred yards in front of us, so we cooled it down pretty quick. all and all im kinda suprised, but glad, i didnt expect that from the few mods i have.

take it from a prelude owner... they are slow heavy pigs until you wind them up into high RPM... by then, you've lost the race anynow.

Nice kill.

i thought the prelude was hondas bad boy up until the s2000. i know my friend had a 94 prelude that was pretty fast from what he said.

honestly though ive been itching to race so bad john force couldve pulled up to me at that light in his funny car and i still wouldve tried him. :rotf:

I beat one with my old lifted S10 blazer with 32s. It was close in the beginning but smoked him in the long run to about 85

the only ones ive seen that are decently fast are the ones with turbo kits and/or spraying. weight is the killer, else it would be alot better. ive never seen any big sponsored preludes running numbers.... then again, im not paying that much attention either

handling however is pretty good for a stock car. Mine has a front strut brace on it and ive cranked it down well enough were Im able to take off/on ramps and curvy roads alot better with less body roll and no tire chirpping, with stock ride height. there's a nice road on the way to work for me that starts into a hard left into a long right... straightens out for a good 150 yards and goes back into a soft right then left. makes for some interesting mornings.
