How many left?

Has anyone taken the time to keep track of all the Sy/Ty popping up and the ones actually registered to know how many are left of each?
Seems to me there are a crapload more than GM cared to acknowledge. They are found around the world pretty much. Would be interesting track them all down as they surface. I know I don't have the time. Maybe someone else does?

Now if everyone would take the time to put their truck in the registry and those that they happen to "find".

this has been discussed many times in the past. There are no certain numbers, final answer: no one knows.

I can't quite believe this but back in 1992 this truck shipped....... on my birthday.

I am NEVER selling this truck.

UPDATE

I spent all day with Excel, the Sportmachines registry and Jimmy's graveyard photos.

I only focused on SyTy, not SoGT (sorry SoGT guys!) and I came up with the following info for anyone that's curious.

2997 Syclone
2498 92 Typhoons
2202 93 Typhoons

so 7697 records in total.

If I exclude known owner info (from sportmachines) or verifiable VINs from Jimmy's Graveyard (ie there is a photo of the VIN or the photo is labelled) then we come out with the following info.

5882 vehicles are still unaccounted for. This suggests to me that an awful lot of people haven't registered on Sportmachines.com

Jimmy's graveyard has 525 pics in it and I reckon 20% can identify certain trucks which I put into Excel. The remainder are without VINs but assuming that there are 3 pics average per truck, that only leaves 420 pics = 140 trucks in the graveyard, hardly a dent in what is still unaccounted for.

So..... to do this properly, people need to register.

Some of the pics in the graveyard are already accounted for in the Sportmachines registry anyway.

Probably not valuable info but interesting nonetheless.

Maybe the owners of the site could host the excel file and have a link so that you can update it easily - block site access unless you register your truck or click "no thanks" just once or something.

:dunno:

Re: How many left?

Too bad I lost the VINs to half of them when chitownsyty went kaput

Did you add the three I found in CO? I went by again today they are still sitting outside and nothing will probably ever be done with them. 2487,2219,2699

Guess we can add Trapper's Ty to the list, plus the one that was stolen at the theater, and then recovered in pieces.
