How much boost will stock wastegate actuator make?

With nothing attached. I have an extra broken turbo and want to try and use the wastegate actuator on a gm-8 turbo on my diesel. It is from a 99 and was vacuum operated, and my truck is 83 so no ecm to control it. I was wondering if I could use the syty actuator with spring to build around 7-9 lbs of boost with it. I believe it was 5lbs if nothing is attached, but cant remember, and am trying to figure a way to build the extra 2 lbs.

Stock wastegate rod is adjustable, tightened (make it shorter) should hold more.

Thats my other issue is that I would have to cut down the rod and rethread to make it fit. The rod on the gm8 i only a few inches. Guess I could just try and see. Thanks

If I were to take a refined petroleum product such as diesel fuel, then inject it into an internal combustion engine designed to burn such fuel, then compress it until the latent heat of compression is sufficient to cause such fuel to ignite, the direct the resulting gasses towards a turbine device and have that turbine device spin an impeller that could compress air into a more dense form, and use a stock GMC Syclone wastegate actuator with its stock spring rate in it, at what point would the compressed air resulting from the above mentioned process have sufficient energy to override the spring and begin to push the wastegate on the exhaust housing of a turbo open.

Well put. I'm just tired of people confusing items on turbo vehicles. If I had a dollar for every time I've heard that a BOV (is intended to) controls boost pressure...

But you obviously know your stuff (or are good enough at Google that you do now!). 8 psi is the answer. You can either thread the adjustment rod in, or attach an above pictured spring (or both). You can sometimes cheat and actually bent the rod to the point that it's effective length is shortened, but that it obviously a hack way of doing it. And yes, I'm guilty of doing all three methods on my Omni.

Whell i control my boost with my bov..... 1bar spring in it not hooked up.

Result no overboost,vac attached overboost problem.

I figured as much and also thought you probably read what I meant and not what I typed haha. I may give this a shot now with my only two issues being the rod is probably 4" too long, but I can cut and rethread, and the second is that gm8 actuators sit vertical, so I need to work out bracketry. It may be more trouble than its worth but I am the type to find that out after the fact, its sitting there and I would like to try it just to see. The only other thing holding me back is that it is an original syty actuator in working condition and I will render it useless to a syty once it is modded.
