How much love for your SY/TY

Well….Last night I was coming home from picking up the wife from work. We get to the house and we get out to go in. My wife tells me that the TY looks dirty and just then she wipes her hand across the hood. I snap and start ripping her %$#@ for doing that. Then I stop and realize that I have a flat black paint. I felt so bad for yelling at her but my TY is my baby! Is this just me or does every one with a SY/TY feel like this?

when I redo my Ty this spring, I will be laying down new rules to the g/f about how we get in and out of the Ty, no feet on the dash, no food/drink unless we are going cross country and need to make up the time, ect ect :lol:

You have to remember,the Ty is just "stuff".You can get more stuff.

I give my kids a hard time everyday. I pick them from school and they both have book bags on wheels so they want to " pull" their bags in and out of the truck across the cladding. I make they carry them inot the truck. I make sure they don't "touch" the outside of the truck ever. No food or drink inside and definiately nothing sharp i.e pencils pens etc. I don't allow wife to drive the truck if she going to park it so she's limited to taking it to McDonalds drive thru etc. NO ONE is allowed in the garage where the syclone is kept except me! But that's just me.

I was out installing the now stolen stereo equipment in the Sy and the G/F came out to hang out with me for a while. I climb out of the truck and there she is leaning against the bed of the truck, right in the back where it is most likely to dent in. I came unglued, yelled and everything. She didn't understand the "big" deal, I told her it wasn't a f'ing fence post. After I calmed down, I apologized. Jimmy is right.

Yes I am a nazi. No eating, drinking, leaning, feet on the dash (my wife like to do that), mall parking lots, no supermarkets with carriages, no parallel parking etc.

I drive it in the winter.

I eat in it.

I let my wife put her feet on the dash.

I put my left foot on the dash.

I smoked in it.

I load bricks in the back.

I let BW ride in it.

I'll let almost anyone drive it - except Dubb.

Since it was stolen and became 'molested' I've lost the desire to keep it mint. Everything can be replaced.

One of my family members commented after my truck was stolen, that I would be more upset about my truck getting stolen then I would about losing a family member. That's when I knew it was too much.

im with dave.... amy can put her feet on the dash if she wants to. when we are at the beach, and she is driving, i put my feet on the dash. and sometimes i eat frenchfries in it. today i drove it in the snow, and did donuts in the parking lot at work. later on i found out half the office was standing at the windows on the top floor watching me. whoops

For me i let people eat in the black ty but that's it. As far as the blue one goes my girlfriend ran her finger on the paint one day when the blue one was dirty and then all hell broke loose! I didn't mean to get mad but a while ago my buddy did the same thing and the dirt scratched my paint even though it was a light dusting of dirt. I had to compund the whole hood. When it comes to the blue one don't even think about breathingthe wrong way on it, eating or farting in it. :lol:

After punching me in the shoulder and saying “You let her on the hood of your truck?”
I told her it was due to peer pressure. :lol: I normally do not let anyone even touch my truck.

Mine is relatively new to me but used by previous owners, so I am trying to get it looking better. I drive it in the snow...its my daily driver. But beverages are quickly beoming a no-no....too hard to hold and launch at the same time Once repainted and cladding fixed, I will be protective but probably not maniacal.

I found Dr. Pepper from Burger King seems to travel at the highest speeds. I'm glad they have strong lids.

I told my gf I'd marry her when the ty was done..... boy that was a mistake, were still bf/gf after 2 years and shes always giving me crap. Bottom line - a SyTy is never done.
