yeah, believe it or not that's how it came out of the engine (obviously much dirtier, and the missing pieces in there were still kind of wedged in there.
i don't know who the builder was, why don't you ask GMC or PAS? this is the stock piston from when it went to the builder in october - unfortunately my dad, who was in "control" per se of the truck at the time (i was in rochester), INSISTED stock pistons went back in, so my lame ass jimmy still has stock internals. which is why i don't want to drive it very much. i just randomly decided that tonight i'd finally take a picture of the bastard...it actually looks pretty close to this around the entire piston, i.e. all the rings are cracked like 3 or 4 times each.

no, i didn't have enough time to split open the block over spring break to take a look, plus it was fugging freezing most of the week - hopefully i am overexaggerating this time around and its just something simple...
