I Hate My Life

Happened today between 10:15am and 1:20pm, central parking lot on campus, locked, alarm set, faceplate removed and locked in glovebox. I hate people.

Most jackers overestimate the s-series dash strength and tear them FUBAR. I've taken the system out of my truck so much, I could jack it out in under 2 minutes I bet. That really sucks man. Sorry to hear that. Atleast they didn't get your speakers. I noticed your heater control panel is falling off. Did that happen when they jacked it, or is it just falling apart like mine.

Damn that sucks. Sorry to see this happen. I had my typhoon broken into for a stereo, and I decided that I'd never put any of that stuff in my truck agian. I even had all my stuff bolted in so that it would have been tough to get it out.............. too bad I had left a set of tools in the truck for the a$$holes to use to get the amp out. :snipersmile:

Being a victim of on-campus auto theft myself (lost a 69 SS Camaro years back), I can totally relate. These dregs of humanity need to be hung by their fingernails on the evening news. Unfortunately, property theft is way down on law enforcements list of priorities.

like everyone else said, at least they didn't get your truck. they can steal my stereo's all they want, just don't take my truck! looks like it was a decently clean break in. i had a stereo stolen out of my corvette once, had to replace the whole center section of the dash.

Sorry to see this happen to you. What type of alarm do you have? One thing I noticed about my Jimmy, I'm assuming its the same for all s-series, is that the dome light is NOT connected to the rear glass and gate. It does not come on when it is opened. An alarm only knows of entry by means of a shock sensor, a motion sensor or that the interior/dome light is on. With an insensitive shock sensor, they could have swiped your whole box and amp and the alarm would not have even gone off. How they get inside a door without the alarm sounding is beyond me. What amp and headunit was stolen?

Just one more reason I don't use my truck as a daily driver. For the cost of fixing stuff like that or curb checking wheels or it getting keyed or something, I just bought another car for a daily driver then this kind of thing never happens.

i had a mercury switchounted to the rear glass of my old blazer.

did you check to see if they have cameras on campus?
i say try to ask around. i say if it happened during the day time. im sure somebody had to see them.

I never freaking said, you cant have a stereo, I stated a fact on why people break into cars to steal stuff.
