I like my Typhoon again.

Well after a lot of messing around...I like my Typhoon again My New Walbro 255 pump was the problem. I've concluded the other threads I had going on my problem. I've replaced the Walbro with a $92 Airtex FP assembly E3625S from Autozone. It's the pump and sending unit complete. It's very quiet and its pushing 62 psi under boost. It runs STRONG now:tup: Yes, yes I did say Airtex :lol:

Good to hear you fixed your problem. Put it away for the winter before something else makes you hate the truck again.:lol:

Yeah, I prob. should but it's just so hard to do! You know what it's like in MI. I kinda feel like the squirrels in my yard getting nuts...If I hurry I can get "this" and "that" done before the snow comes. The day I hated my Typhoon involved draining and dropping the fuel tank twice, loosing the coil hold down bolts, had a craftsman deepwell socket bounce off of a hose and land IN a hole on top of a Boxed section of the frame... It had to land perfectly to fit in it. Then after another test ride I go to pop the hood again..Oh, there goes the hood cable. Had to take out the grill to fix that. It was Not a good day.

The good news is I can R & R a Ty fuel pump in about half an hour now

Nothing wrong with the Airtex E3270 pump (that's the actual pump PN). Rated at 60GPH (227 ltr/hr), backed with a good warranty, and Airtex makes their stuff in the USA. When we used to sell retail parts, we sold many Airtex units (along with Carter, RHF, Walbro, etc...). Almost all of the warranty issues could be attributed to installation retardation or misuse.

I talked with High Flow on Fri.and they couldn't think of anything else for me to trouble shoot so they sent me a new E3270 to test it against the Walbro to help me find the problem. Now we just have to figure out what to do with the Walbro.
