Re: Ic Pump ?

I dont know if atr sells one ( I have never heard of them selling one) but your option are a jabsco, johnson, or shurflo. they run in price from 50-125 bucks.
I am running a shurflo pump, it was 50 bucks shipped, but the only problem is you have to modify your mounting bracket to work with it as it is big, I would say it is the best one and modifying the bracket is worth it, but it is the only aftermarket i ahve ever used, so i dont know about the other 2. dont be afraid of modifying your bracket it is very easy and there is a good write up on the archives I believe.

you can do a search for it, and get a lot more info.

I used the Shurflo also and I like it a lot , but, like Five Oh said, its the only one ive ever used. I didnt modify my bracket, I just cut it off. Put a pad between the cores and the pump and used four zip ties to secure it in a way that it wouldnt screw up the cores. Let me know if you need pics.

Re: Ic Pump ?

I work in the RV business...go with the Shurflo, trust me

I believe it is the only one of the three that will not fail when run dry, kind of important since you may develop a leak (like me) and run the system dry before you realize it. It is not rated for high temperature applications above 90'C, but if your IC coolant is near boiling you've got other problems

. Go with the 2088 pump (2.8 GPM @45 psi), its the best for our application, but it is a fairly bulky pump. I was unable to mount it in the stock location.

Jabsco is by far the worst...dont go there

get a johnson, what they aren't telling you is that it doesn't fit in the stock location.

Yep, i forgot to say that. Get the johnson, I have one in each of mine. They bolt right in and work great.

Re: Ic Pump ?

I never had any problems with a Jabsco - I ran one for 4 years without a problem. It just now crapped out on me. I got a great deal on a Johnson - so I'll give that a whirl.
