Hey guys, im new to the Sy/Ty world. always been a fan of these vehicles, just never had the cash to own one. Finally got mine today, 91 Syclone with supposedly a quite a bit done to it. i dont know if the previous owner is on here or not, if anything i type is incorrect (Fact wise) please correct me, im very eager to learn more about these vehicles. Like i said ive got a 91 Syclone (stripped and repainted red then re-assembled) Car has unknown size turbo on it. doesn't appear to be stock but i could be wrong. i THINK (from ive been told) the stocker is a mitsu 17c? anyway, car supposedly has eagle rods, j.e pistons, arp studs all around, vortec heads, kenne bell fmic, kenne bell intake and headers with deltagate, J & S/Kenny Bell knock sensor/dentination retard electronic computer, with a/f and knock indicators. Trans is rebuilt supposedly with 2800 stall (kenne bell unit??) currently i CANNOT go w.o.t, i get to about 18 psi (modulating throttle) and anything past it shows knock and gets lean on the af indicator. Im not new to the boost/tuning world, but i am new to the domestic motors and boosting. im not a n00b when it comes to cars. i just dont know anything yet about tuning with these vehicles or how you go about re-tuning them. Ive been a mitsubishi guy for a while (done 3000GTs/Stealths, Eclipses, lil on starions. Anyway Truck came with 2 chips, current one installed is set for pump gas (93) or maybe 98 octane (not sure) second is a race gas chip. again if anyone can point me in the right direction on info/tuning and such on these cars and what to watch for. Any help would be appreciated.
