Re: indy trucks

Three Indy Syclones were used at the Indianapolis 500 race on May 24th, 1992 with the only modifications being a sticker package. One of these Indy trucks was converted into the PPG Syclone Pace Truck (though it was not the official pace car) with significant modifications, including a multi-colored silver, magenta, and aqua paint scheme, and a molded in light bar in the roof, a racing fuel cell and fire system.

Re: indy trucks

You have the info that is currently available already in front of you.

3 were produced. 1 of the 3 was converted and is now the PPG Syclone. That leaves 2 Indy trucks. One of the persons who might know the VINs to the 2 trucks is no longer on this site.

As far as the person being the orig owner and buying the truck that way....dealerships were given Indy Decal sets to put on the trucks (just like pinstriping). So, more than likely it is a 99.99% chance that it is NOT a real Indy Syclone.

Any sign shop can do the lettering. The one that will give you a migraine is the one on the front fender and I am 99% sure it can NOT be duplicated :(.
