I have one from an Astro and it is identical.

The later Astros went six lug wheels with different CVs, those would require the shafts to be swapped to the earlier flanged style. Otherwise they are the same.

So early model astro van transfer case before 94 should bolt on then

Since the early astro's had the same transfer case... would that mean the front drive shaft would work as well?

GM only made a couple front ends/anything else. The front axle/propshaft are all the same. The only differances between even the 4x4 trucks and the awd stuff is the pass. axle tube and the drivesahft (which can be swapped to use the awd shaft). I actually use a 4x4 axle thats just locked into 4 wheel drive.

hmm... the dif's may be the same but I'm starting to think that not even the oldsmobile prop shaft will work 'correctly'... Seems the typhoon is a 24 1/4 while the bravada is 24 15/16 and the astro van is 30 1/4. So i can see why the bravada prop shaft would work but that sounds like it would be under a wee bit of stress most of the time. And I answered my own question about if the astro propshaft would work.

The rear drive splines changed between 91 & 92 from 27 to 32. The 92 up t-case bolts in to your typhoon.

Personally I am not sure I would trust a used 20+ year old transfer case. Many of our transfer case are locking up, I am not sue I would trust high mileage transfer case.

yup well just got home and took a look my transfer case is locking up and cant trust an old transfer case at all mines only had 63k and give out. Will taking out the propshaft allow me to drive the car for the mean time till i can locate or rebuild the transfer case:?

The astro is the same as a Sy-28 spline. The bravada is the same as a Ty-32 spline..
