Ok. I got my ty running after many hours of work. Now the issue is power windows dont work and when I hit my unlock button the truck dies. If you put your hand on the alternator it is really hot. I have checked the fuses and every thing appears to be fine. Any ideas?

A few possibilities.Start at the battery. Clean all connections,even if they look good.Check the output of the alternator. Check fuse lnk at the starter solonoid. Next replace the ignition switch that is above the steering column.It is hard to diagnosis electrical problems from a distance so good luck and keep looking.
