10/4/06 11:25 Jeremy calls me at work, "Available for lunch?"
Me: Sure
12:00 Jeremy arrives, since Hardman is in Denver I am beating the crap out of his ty while he is gone, so we take that truck.
12:10 Get sandwichs at Subway
12:15 Eat, admire people walking through, the HR lady from my work is there also.
12:45 Leave to come back to my work. Pull into industrial park.
This is where it gets interesting, Hardman has a nicely built motor, TE44, but stock tranny and a convertor that stall at 2k rpm max. At nats people probably saw how slow it comes out of the hole, but once boost is on it comes to life. So I ask Jeremy if he has been in a NON impressive boost launch.
12:50 Push brakes to floor, give it gas, 2psi boost MAX (it won't build more), instant ca splam, bam, clang, clunk, rip, screech. Yep that is a propshaft.
12:51 Jeremy is under the truck removing propshaft (I had good excuse with nice work cloths, plus it was HIS fault) Takes about 5 revolutions of unwrapping of wires from propshaft. HMM didn't notice so many dead end wires going nowhere before.
12:59 Drive by work, head directly home after noticing the dash is dead, truck barely will run, no brake lights, yea lot of stuff.
1:10 Park at my house, hit parking brake...OOOO thats broke also, find the TN jack stand Jimmy left, throw it behind the tire.
1:15 Drive the reliable Texas Rat to work, laughing and calling Hardman on his Cell phone. We are all laughing now.
So this one I am blaming on Jeremy, since he blew up his stock propshaft in the same park, same road opposite end. He had to walk to my house that day though.
