Re: JSM Rides again..........
Ok, the weekend has finally calmed down and back to work so I can get some sleep. :rotf:
Just to be clear, we each had a 4 hour shift of driving and I did my 4 hours.
Background to the story though.
ABout 2 months ago Dabney called me and explained to me it was time to let his truck move on to a new owner due to changes in life, etc. Being I have always kept in contact with him and he knew I was still involved in the community and somewhat trustworthy we agree to have the truck and all the parts he has collected through the years transported to my house. I have kept this story quiet as I didn't know what to expect, or even when for sure. Now that it is sitting in my garage it is time to finish the job of helping Dabney out.
For those that do not know, this truck was at the 1st ever Syty nats, it has less than 35k miles on it, has not been outside of a garage in the last 13 years except to move from 1 to another. Needless to say it is rust free and will make someone a very nice truck. The bad news is it was mid stream of some extreme modifications and is in a fair amount of pieces right now. With that said nothing was cut up, just unbolted so it can all be put back.
Packed inside the truck was years of collecting of parts. As Dabney and myself figure out the value of them and fair pricing everything will be posted for sale. I do have the first list off to him to look over.
The truck itself once all the parts are sorted out will be re assembled, or sold as is if someone has interest in the current status, or someone in between.
Unfortunetly it is the end to the ownership of one of the original syty owners who was here when it all started, good news is it could very well make someone a VERY nice truck.
Stay tuned in the classified section as things develop.
