i belive is in the rear of the block ontop of the turbo oil feed line.

nope, it's right next to the distrib as I recall from putting the motor back together receantly.

Yes, and like about everything else on the car almost impossible to reach.

Some have relocated it, and there's a whole thread on that, but it sounds a little involved

Be very careful relocating it. It is tuned at it's current location. While it is not a perfect system unless you are very careful a broken piston might be in your future.
