Where can I find the L35 heads? I"ve no idea of where to find them. I have a buddy who can port them for me and I do not want to spend an arm and a leg on the vortech conversion and the L35 heads are kind of what i'm in the market for.

Thank you all!

Re: L35 heads?

they are found on any s10 with the CPI "vortec" 4.3. it's not a true vortec engine but it does say vortec on the upper intake plastic cover.

92-94 s10 blazer or 92-93 s10 pickup with the "vortec" cpi engine has those heads. i have the same ones on my truck, it hasn't ran yet but i have high expectations for them.

Dave, username is DaveP has a post somewhere that states the casting numbers for those heads in case you curious.

search his user name you just may find it

yes sir, if you can't find someone with a set already off willing to sell, the wrecking yard is your best bet. i'm not sure if they will sell you just the heads, i know some yards around here will part out entire engines with no thought about it and others won't let you take a single bolt off of an engine unless you buy the whole thing. i don't have the time or i'd pull you off a set i know of like 3 sets in a wreckingyard in WA.

good luck

Re: L35 heads?

So, your basically telling me to look in the local wrecking yards?

Yep, where are you located at? I have a pretty steady source of used heads by me... You can get the low down on the casting numbers here. L35's have an "eyebrow" cut into the top of the intake ports for the injectors that is a dead give away:

What kind of gains to the L35's give you over the LB4's, does it make that big of a difference?
